You’re soaking in it!

The group exhibition „You’re soaking in it!“ shows different positions of contemporary painting. Despite the often proclaimed death of this medium, painiting is by far not fully exploited in it’s possibilities and still enables us to gain another view at reality.

Shown are actual works of the three artists Paul Barnett, Wolfgang Lugmaier and Frank Steier.

Within the last years KWADRAT exhibited two solo shows of Paul Barnett – Paul’s work were exhibited at the Galerie OA, in the Salon of the Projekt 0047 and the salon of the M3 Halle. Recently his work was shown at the autumn exhibition of KWADRAT and at the group exhibition „Der röhrende Hirsch wird abgewrackt“ by the gallery Borchert + Schelenz.

Wolfgang Lugmair took part in exhibitions of the Poly-Produzentengalerie and UND#1, as also at the Neocon and the FGS Karlsruhe. His solo show „Zwei Grad über Null“ was exhibited by KWADRAT and recently some of Wolfgang’s works were exhibited at the Forgotten Bar, a project of the Galerie im Regierungsviertel, Berlin.

Frank Steier’s work was exhibited at TOP 03 in the Kunsthalle Baden-Baden, as part of „Germany“ in a former IKEA building, Stuttgart whilst recently shown at the Projektraum Kastanienallee and within the group exhibitions Internat, Die schöne Nacht im Liebeskraut, kampagne and the first Berliner Kunstsalon. Frank’s work was also shown within the INTER_09 and the solo show „… und was kommt jetzt?“ curated by KWADRAT, as also at the Forgotten Bar of the Galerie im Regierungsviertel in Berlin and the autumn exhibition of KWADRAT.

As there was no budget for this group show, we developed their site nonpaid.
Through amazing courage and strong will of the exhibition’s curator, this group show successfully took place at the Glinkastraße 30, 10117 Berlin MAP
